Structural Characteristics of WD615 Series Diesel Engine Cylinder Block and Head
Abstract: The WD615 series diesel engines are 6-cylinder, inline, water-cooled, highly enhanced, compact, exhaust turbocharged, and air-cooled diesel engines. The cylinder head is a separate type, and the cylinder body is a tunnel type and a separate type, equipped with a dry cylinder sleeve. It has the following characteristics: (1) The 7 main bearing caps are cast into one with the crankcase, and the joint surface with the cylinder body is cut open along the centerline of the crankshaft and connected with bolts, thus becoming a separate and tunnel type structural form. The connection between the crankcase and the cylinder block is not only tightened with 14 main bearing bolts in a certain order and torque angle method, but also secured with 22 inner hexagon bolts and 2 outer hexagon bolts on both sides.
